With 10+ years of traveling under our belt, two very different lifestyles and travel styles lived, and tons and tons of wins and fails, we have assembled quite the list of amazingly helpful resources for travel!

From snagging incredible flight deals to getting one-of-a-kind housing to finding the most life changing tours and so much more, every link below has been hand-curated by me, Becca, and Matze to help you in your travels.

I hope the resources below are just as incredible to you as they are to us!

Our Absolute Favorite Resources!

Transportation (flights & more)

  • Skyscanner for finding and tracking the best flights
  • Google Flights as a great back up
  • Flight Connections for finding very specific routes
  • Daily Drop to scout deals (especially points deals)
  • Dollar Flight Club as a great back up for deal scouting
  • Rome 2 Rio to show all possible connections between two locations (a bit oudated sometimes, so just double check!)
  • Omio for booking train, bus, flight and ferry tickets
  • FlixBus offers cheap (but kind of dingy) bus transport
  • BlaBlaCar is the best car sharing

Tours + Activities

  • Viator provides the best and most expansive tour list!
  • Get Your Guide is a good back up
  • Airbnb Experiences is another great option (put in your travel location and dates and click “experiences”)

Accommodation

  • Booking is the best – the most comprehensive, best deals, and even a point system
  • Trusted Housesitters to find free housing in exchange for house (and oftentimes pet) sitting
  • Hostel World for the top hostel options
  • VRBO for great private properties
  • AirBnb as a backup for VRBO (the company is questionable at best, so we prefer other options whenever possible!)
  • RoadSurfer for van or RV accommodation
  • Daily Drop to scout deals (especially points deals)

Vehicle Rental

Camping

  • Campendium for free camping spots all over the US

Travel Insurance

(In our opinion not really needed, especially as many health care plans provide basic travel insurance or can be upgraded for a small fee, but here is our recommendation if desired)
